Parking in this area is limited and can be expensive. If possible, please use public transportation.
Walk-Safe program at the hospital: If you would like someone to walk with you for safety reasons, please call (416) 340-4111. Give your full name, location (building, floor and room number) and destination. A security guard will come and walk with you to and from nearby hospitals, parking lots, TTC stations, taxi stands or isolated areas. This program is free.

The University Avenue entrance of Toronto General Hospital is reserved for staff and not available to patients. Only patient-accessible options are shown below.####TTC Option 1: Subway–getting off at Queen’s Park Station (on the Yonge-University Line (Line 1)) * Exit Queen’s Park Station on the south-east corner of the intersection of University Avenue and College Street * Do not walk towards the University Avenue entrance of Toronto General Hospital. It is reserved for staff only. * Walk east towards Elizabeth Street, but do not cross Elizabeth Street * Turn right onto Elizabeth Street * Walk south on the right (west) side of the street for about 3 minutes * The Elizabeth Street entrance of Toronto General Hospital is on your right (This entrance is available to patients during the pandemic) #### TTC Option 2: Subway–getting off at College Station (on the Yonge-University Line (Line 1)) * When you exit College Station, stay on the south side of College Street * Walk west on College Street * Cross Elizabeth Street and turn left onto Elizabeth Street * Walk south on the right (west) side of the street for about 3 minutes * The Elizabeth Street entrance of Toronto General Hospital is on your right (This entrance is available to patients during the pandemic) #### TTC Option 3: Carlton / College Street Streetcar (#506) For the Elizabeth Street entrance of Toronto General Hospital: * Get off the Carlton / College Streetcar at Elizabeth Street * Walk south on the right (west) side of the street for about 3 minutes * The Elizabeth Street entrance of Toronto General Hospital is on your right (This entrance is available to patients during the pandemic)

Wheel-Trans is a specialized accessible transit service for people with physical disabilities. Wheel-Trans makes door-to-door arrangements.

Construction on Southbound Elizabeth Street from September 7th to November 27th, 2021
Due to watermain construction, southbound Elizabeth Street will be closed between Gerrard Street and College Street. If you wish to access the Elizabeth Street parking garage or the Emergency Department of Toronto General Hospital, please approach from Gerrard St. and go northbound on Elizabeth Street.
Driving Option 1: From the 401
- Drive south on Avenue Road, around Queen’s Park
- Avenue Road becomes University Avenue south of the Provincial Legislature
- Toronto General Hospital is located south of College Street and north of Gerrard Street
- To access the Elizabeth Street parking garage from southbound University Avenue: turn left onto Gerrard Street, and turn left onto Elizabeth Street.
Driving Option 2: From the Gardiner Expressway
- Exit on York Street and travel northbound
- York Street turns into University Avenue
- Toronto General Hospital is located just north of Gerrard Street
- To access the Elizabeth Street parking garage from northbound University Avenue: turn right onto Gerrard Street, and turn left onto Elizabeth Street.
Parking is available in a garage across from the Toronto General Hospital. The lot can be accessed from Elizabeth Street (using the directions above) and is always open.
The acceptable payment methods are cash, Visa and Mastercard.
Discounted rates are available to patients, families, and visitors in the form of 5-day, 10-day and 30-day passes.

Inside TGH (Coming into Toronto General Hospital through the Elizabeth Street entrance - Level G)
Please use the Elizabeth Street entrance only. The University Avenue entrance is reserved for staff, and the Gerrard Street entrance is reserved for dialysis patients.
- Take one of the Eaton Elevators to the 8th floor
- Walk towards the side with arm chairs (follow the red dotted arrows in the map below)
- When you reach the arm chairs, turn right
- The Dalglish Family 22q Clinic is on your right.
