Parking in this area is limited and can be expensive. If possible, please use public transportation.

Walk-Safe program at the hospital: If you would like someone to walk with you for safety reasons, please call (416) 340-4111. Give your full name, location (building, floor and room number) and destination. A security guard will come and walk with you to and from nearby hospitals, parking lots, TTC stations, taxi stands or isolated areas. This program is free.

Map from Queen's Park to TGH through MaRS

TTC Option 1: Subway–getting off at Queen’s Park Station (on the Yonge-University Line (Line 1))

  • At Queen’s Park Station, look for the exit that will lead to the south-east corner of the intersection of University Avenue and College Street. Then you can choose to walk inside or outside.
    • Walk inside
      • Walk into the MaRS Building. Walk towards the lobby.
      • Look for a walkway with Tim Hortons on one side and the auditorium on the other. Use that walkway to go towards Toronto General Hospital
      • Take the Eaton Elevators to the 8th floor.

    • Walk outside
      • Walk up to the street level to University Avenue
      • Walk south on the left side of the road for about three minutes or one block
      • The University Avenue entrance of Toronto General Hospital is on your left
      • Take the Munk Elevators to the 8th floor.

TTC Option 2: Subway–getting off at College Station (on the Yonge-University Line (Line 1))

  • When you exit College Station, stay on the south side of College Street
  • Walk west on College Street
  • Cross Elizabeth Street and turn left onto Elizabeth Street
  • Walk south on the right (west) side of the street for about 3 minutes
  • The Elizabeth Street entrance of Toronto General Hospital is on your right
  • Take the Eaton Elevators to the 8th floor.

TTC Option 3: Carlton / College Street Streetcar (#506)

You can get off at either Elizabeth Street or University Avenue.

For the Elizabeth Street entrance of Toronto General Hospital (closer to our Clinic)

  • Get off the Carlton / College Streetcar at Elizabeth Street
  • Walk south on the right (west) side of the street for about 3 minutes
  • The Elizabeth Street entrance of Toronto General Hospital is on your right
  • Take the Eaton Elevators to the 8th floor.

For the University Avenue entrance of Toronto General Hospital:

  • Exit the Carlton / College Streetcar at University Avenue
  • Walk south on the left side of the road for about 3 minutes or one block
  • The University Avenue entrance of Toronto General Hospital is on your left
  • Take the Munk Elevators to the 8th floor.

TTC Option 4: Wheel-Trans

Wheel-Trans is a specialized accessible transit service for people with physical disabilities. Wheel-Trans makes door-to-door arrangements. An application is required. For more information about Wheel-Trans, visit the TTC Wheel-Trans site.

Driving Directions

Driving Option 1: From the 401

  • Drive south on Avenue Road, around Queen’s Park
  • Avenue Road becomes University Avenue south of the Provincial Legislature
  • Toronto General Hospital is located south of College Street and north of Gerrard Street
  • To access the Elizabeth Street parking garage from southbound University Avenue: turn left onto Gerrard Street, and turn left onto Elizabeth Street.

Driving Option 2: From the Gardiner Expressway

  • Exit on York Street and travel northbound
  • York Street turns into University Avenue
  • Toronto General Hospital is located just north of Gerrard Street
  • To access the Elizabeth Street parking garage from northbound University Avenue: turn right onto Gerrard Street, and turn left onto Elizabeth Street.

Parking

  • Parking is available in a garage across from the Toronto General Hospital. The lot can be accessed from Elizabeth Street (using the directions above) and is always open.

  • The acceptable payment methods are cash, Visa and Mastercard.

  • Discounted rates are available to patients, families, and visitors in the form of 5-day, 10-day and 30-day passes.

UHN Shuttle

The University Health Network (UHN) runs a free shuttle between Toronto Western and Toronto General Hospitals on weekdays. For more information, please visit the UHN Shuttle webpage.

Due to COVID-19, the shuttle bus is only available for staff. Masks and ID badges are required.

Once you are inside Toronto General Hospital

Map of the Ground Floor (with Elizabeth Street and Gerrard Street Entrances) and the First Floor (with University Avenue Entrance) of Toronto General Hospital (TGH) are available at the UHN/Toronto General Hospital website.

Inside TGH (Coming to our Clinic using the Eaton Elevators)

  • Take one of the Eaton Elevators to the 8th floor
  • Walk towards the side with arm chairs (follow the red dotted arrows in the map below)
  • When you reach the arm chairs, turn right
  • The Dalglish Family 22q Clinic is on your right.

Inside TGH - Option 2 (Coming to our Clinic using the Munk Elevators)

  • Take one of the Munk Elevators to the 8th floor
  • Once you exit the elevator lobby, turn right (follow the blue dotted arrows in the map below)
  • Walk along the corridor
  • Walk past the set of washrooms on your left
  • The Dalglish Family 22q Clinic is on your left.
